With its origins reaching back to Portugal, the ukulele came to Hawaii in 1879 and made ist way back to Europe through the USA in the 1950’s. 20 years ago, ukuleles became popular again around here. Ukuleles are available in many different sizes and variations.
We have one of Germanys largest ukulele stocks, from beginners to luxury models, with or without built-in pickups.
Neat little ukulele cases are available in black or tweed.
Soprano-Ukulele
Soprano ukuleles are usually tuned A-D-F#-B, being the instruments in highest pitch within the ukulele family.
Concert-Ukulele
The concert ukulele tuning is G-C-E-A and has a longer scale than the soprano ukulele.
Tenor + Baritone-Ukulele
The tenor ukulele tuning is the same as the concert ukulele tuning: G-C-E-A. Its scale length is longer, the body larger and thus its sound a little more emphasized in the mid-range. The baritone ukulele, tuned D-G-B-E, is the largest instrument within the ukulele family.
Bass-Ukulele
The bass ukulele is a relatively new instrument. Strictly taken it is not a ukulele but a miniature bass with baritone ukulele dimensions. It is tuned like regular (electric) basses: E-A-D-G.
Our Stevens bass ukulele has become one of the most popular bass ukuleles on the market.
